The Practice

The notary, a trusted third party between the parties and the law.

Vested with a delegation of public authority, the Alami Aroussi practice confers on your deeds authenticity, certain date and enforceability. Every matter is handled with the same exigency: to understand the parties' intent, secure the transaction in law, and preserve it over time.

Based in Casablanca, in the Palmier district, the practice combines the tradition of the notariat (impartiality, the duty to advise, professional secrecy) with contemporary tools for controlled timelines. We serve individuals, investors and businesses, in French, Arabic, English, Spanish and German.

Frequently asked

What to know before you come.

Can't find your answer? The practice answers any preliminary question, with no obligation.

Which documents should I bring for a property sale?

National ID card or passport, the land title or proof of ownership, the latest housing/municipal services tax notice, and where applicable the financing agreement. The practice sends a tailored list from the first appointment.

How long does an authentic deed take?

Signing can take place within a few weeks depending on the nature of the transaction and the availability of documents. Land searches and clearing pre-emption rights often govern the timeline; we give you a realistic schedule as soon as the file is opened.

Can I sign remotely or by power of attorney?

Yes. A notarial power of attorney lets someone represent you, which is common for non-resident clients. The practice drafts the power of attorney and coordinates its legalisation, wherever you are.

Does the notary act for one of the parties?

No. The notary is an impartial public officer: they advise all parties equitably and ensure the balance of the deed. It is precisely this neutrality that gives the notarial signature its strength.

Which languages do you work in?

The practice receives and drafts in French and Arabic, and assists international clients in English, Spanish and German. Translation of deeds can be arranged on request.
